Darec Funke '20 Recruiting Profile

Since the age of 14, I realized I wanted to take soccer to the next level. Since then I've always wanted to play soccer at the highest level. When I started taking soccer seriously I was way behind the  rest of the players. I had to work very hard to get from just playing in my local recreation league, to a travel league, to a club team, to my state ODP team, and now to Barça Residency Academy in Arizona. I've learned a lot during my time playing on different levels of teams. It really helped me view the game in different perspectives from when I was one of the lower skilled players on the team and one of the highest skilled player on the team. I believe this experience has made me a better leader, teammate, and player.
