I am a 5’10”, 130 lb center back and have been playing soccer for 11 years. I am a starter on Cedar Stars Academy Hudson Valley as well as Monroe-Woodbury HS varsity. Whenever I step on the field I try to give 110% no matter what. My love for the game is limitless. Soccer and my education are my main priorities right under family. Winning the Eastern State Cup Championship, with my travel team, as a sophomore was the highlight of my young career and I am fortunate to have been a part of this amazing program. During the summer of 2017, I was also fortunate enough to have played in the Schwan's USA Cup in Minnesota. That experience for me, truly helped me grow as an athlete, being a team player and a good sportsman.
My senior year, (Fall of 2018), was my 3rd year as a starter on my high school varsity team, as well as being a captain. This was an important year, since it was my senior year, and being that my team had lost 2 yrs prior in our Section Final game. I knew coming in how badly I wanted to win sections, and how I had to give even more than I ever had. It wasn't going to be easy, but I knew we could do it. I wasn't at all too concerned with the individual awards. All I wanted to do was win everything I could with my teammates that I consider my family, my best friends. Not only did we win the League/Conference, but we won the Sectional Title, Regional Title, and became New York State Champions. I am extremely proud to have played an integral part part of winning States with a record of 21-0-0 (with 16 shutouts). My plans are to continue to give everything I can to make any team that I am on, an even better team than they already are.
I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. On the academic part, I try to keep high honors. I was selected to join The National Society of High School Scholars during my junior year. I believe I not only have the talent to compete in college soccer, but the character, commitment and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on a field.
I've had to overcome a major obstacle in my young life and that was losing my dad to cancer in 2013. But through it all I've become a stronger person. My siblings also play an integral part in my desire to achieve success both academically and athletically. Over the years, I've watched my older brother become an amazing soccer player. He became a 2x All American in high school, attended a D1 school on a soccer scholarship, and plays on a semi-pro team. My sister just received her Master's Degree and is already talking about her PhD. Seeing how hard work pays off even in adversity has made me grow into the relentless young man that I am today.
