From a young age, I have loved playing soccer, and now that I am in high school, I am working towards playing soccer at the collegiate level. I understand that to get to this level of proficiency I must work hard, especially as a Goalkeeper. Goalkeepers are given different rules of play in soccer, we wear a different uniform, we use different skills, and we see the game from a unique perspective, because of these differences goalkeepers are leaders on the field. In order to be an effective leader, your teammates and coaches must trust you to protect them, whether it's saving shots and making plays, or sticking up for teammates when something goes wrong. In order to build this trust, it is important to me that I keep a good relationship with my teammates, as well as practicing everyday to improve my goalkeeping skills.
Although I am extremely committed to soccer, I work just as hard in the classroom. I currently hold a 4.0 weighted GPA and take AP/Honors courses. The one thing that I pride myself in the most is my work ethic and determination. Whether it is in the classroom or on the soccer field, I work tirelessly everyday to make sure that I stay ahead of the game. With this being said, I hope that the right institution provides me with an excellent education, as well as the chance to compete at the next level.
