I am currently a Junior at East Aurora High School. I will be graduating with an advanced regents diploma. I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout by age 15 and I developed many leadership skills through a program called National Youth Leadership Training. I attended the training both as a participant as well as a staff member. This is a camp for Boy Scouts nominated by there troops to learn and apply leadership skills and eventually bring those skills back to their troop. I was accepted as a staff member for two years to teach other scouts the skills and abilities I had learned as a participated I discontinued the training as staff member because my training for soccer began to ramp up. I am also apart of the Youth Leadership Team for my Youth Group. So far while participating in Youth Group activities, I have gone an two Mini-Mission trips to Erie Pennsylvania and three mission trips to Boston, Detroit, and Cullowhee. I plan on attending a fourth in Blue Knob, PA during the summer of 2018.
In school I have maintained above a 90 average. I have played for the Modified, JV, and Varsity teams each and have been a constant contributor to the team. We have only lost one game in the five total seasons I have participated in. For my club teams, I have played for premier teams starting when I was 12 but was originally brought on as a goalie and eventually transitioned into a skilled field player. Although tough in the beginning I eventually learned what it took to be skilled outside of the box and I began to outplay team mates and opponents on the field. I now start on one of the best teams in the state only four and a half years later.
