Sam Evans '24 Recruiting Profile

I began playing soccer in the UK aged 5 and played competitively there (gaining interest from professional clubs) and then my dad's job moved us to the USA in January 2020.  I am a Captain for WNY Flash ECNL-RL and we recently became Conference Champions. I've played 3 years with Orchard Park Select and this Fall will be my 3rd year playing for East Aurora High School Varsity (starter each year) and now a Captain. 

Soccer is my passion.  I am 100% committed to my teams, the coaches and my family for their support.  I always go above and beyond in training and games.  

I typically play in a forward position and my strengths are my speed (quick to accelerate), shooting, passing and the ability to run at defenders 1v1.  My right foot is dominant, however, I pass and score with both.  

Playing competitive soccer in College is my dream, to be part of a team, to work my hardest and improve, to be enrolled in further education that provides me with personal and professional growth.  

In my spare time I am an Assistant Coach for East Aurora Girls u15 soccer team and I am part of the East Aurora Unified Basketball team (supporting students with disabilities in sport).
