My name is Owen Doherty and I am in the class of 2025. Standing at 6'0" and weighing 170 lbs, I have been a dedicated varsity soccer player since my freshman year, consistently serving as a reliable starter. Throughout my highschool career I have contributed to the team as a forward and as a center defensive midfielder. This past year I have been playing center back for a competitive adult team featuring other college players. Playing in this position features my excellent game IQ and desire for physicality. I have excelled and performed greaty in this new role. I have invested significant time to become a versatile player that can play multiple positions such as center back, center defensive midfield, and striker. I am a strong competitor, I thrive under pressure and enjoy the intensity of the game, always maintaining strong communication on the field.
Academically, I am equally dedicated, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 90.98.
This past season I was a key contributor to leading our school to the programs first state final four. I scored 32 goals and provided 8 assists, earning recognition as a first-team all-star in the CCAA East League, team offensive MVP, and inclusion in the Big 30 All-Star list.
