Mikel Santos '21 Recruiting Profile

I am part of the graduating class of 2021. I aspire to play college soccer at the highest possible level while earning my degree. I manage my time effectively, allowing time to practice and train for soccer, while maintaining a 3.8 GPA throughout high school with the highest level classes. I have extremely high work ethics, take practice seriously and lead by example. I play outside defense. I am very hardworking and strong in duels, I am good tackle and good interception which helps my team recover the ball.

I am a member of the Business Honor Society. I am fluent in reading, writing and speaking Portuguese and currently have the 11^th grade Portuguese as a second language certificate. I take an active role in both the school community as well as the Portuguese community by coaching younger teams, ref. younger teams, and volunteer at the Portuguese American School in Farmingville to help autistic children learn the language and the younger children maintain their culture and roots alive. I am well-liked by teachers, students and parents because I exhibit the type of character that makes me a role model to others.
