Daniel Costello '21 Recruiting Profile

I’m Dan Costello and will graduate from Northport High School, on Long Island, in 2021.  I am looking for a college that is strong academically and athletically where I can make a significant contribution.

Currently, I am the attacking midfielder for the 2003 Commack United, a team ranked in the Top 10 in NY and Top 50 Regionally.  I am also the  attacking midfielder for my high school's varsity team.  In the Fall of 2018, I was the only sophomore starter on the varsity team and helped our team win our first playoff game by scoring on a free kick and having an assist.   Before joining the Commack United, I played for the Metropolitan Oval, an academy and pre-academy club in Queens, NY.   And prior to that, I played for KK Atletico where we played in the EDP and NPL leagues, often winning our division and numerous tournaments, and at one point we were ranked #1 in our region.

I am a true student of the game.  When I’m not playing soccer or practicing it, I am watching videos of games.  My coaches have often complimented me on deep knowledge and understanding of the game.  I’ve always had great relationships with my coaches and teammates and look forward to making new ones in college.
