My name is Hank Sycoff and I’m a center defensive midfielder in the class of 2026 from Gardiner, New York. I currently play for Hudson Valley Athletic Club, New Paltz Soccer Club, and the Olympic Development Program (ODP).
Academics are a top priority for me; I hold a 4.0 GPA and excel in all my classes.
I’m a versatile and intelligent player with a very strong understanding of the game, and I can adapt quickly under pressure. I am ambidextrous, and I play mostly defensive midfield or wing, but I can play anywhere on the field.
Soccer has always been my favorite sport, and throughout my childhood and teenage years it has truly become a part of my life, altering it in ways I could never have imagined. My love and dedication for the sport even sent me overseas; from August 2023 - February 2024, I attended Marcet soccer academy in Barcelona, Spain, where I played against other academy teams like Atletico Madrid and Getafe on a weekly basis.
Through college soccer I hope to compete at a high level, expand my horizons through education, and make differences both on and off the field.
