My name is Keifer McNichols. I am presently a senior at the Gow School located in South Wales, NY (near the City of Buffalo). My goal is to attend a University or College level institution that will allow me to fulfill my dream and goal, both academically and athletically, for a better future.
My aspiration for the 2018 senior high school soccer season and academic year is to strive to be a highly productive and talented soccer player with a solid academic foundation, therefore, making me a suitable and qualified candidate for any University/ College recruitment program.
In 2016/2017, I was selected by my team members on the "Dollard Rovers FC" in Montreal, Canada and the Gow School as Captain and Co- Captain. I was selected for both leadership positions because of my hard work ethics and exceptional leadership skills on and off the soccer field. Over the last four years of playing soccer at high school level, I was a "Starter" on the Varsity soccer teams. In October of 2017, I was a Junior player on the Gow School Varsity team, I scored 2 out of 4 total goals which contributed to my team winning the Buffalo, NY area Independent Athletic Conference (IAC). Also, in November of 2017, I scored the only goal which enabled my team to win the Western New York Small School Soccer Championship (Reference Buffalo, NY news article). During the 2017/2018, Gow School Varsity soccer season I scored a total of 15 goals in 11 games (Reference Gow School website).
In September of 2018, I was voted Captain of the Gow School varsity Soccer team. The Gow School Varsity soccer team recently finished the soccer season with an overall record of 9 - 5. During the 2018 soccer season, I scored a total of 24 goals in 14 games. I was named the highest scorer in the Gow school soccer history scoring a "Hat Trick". (Reference Gow School website - Varsity soccer schedule attached).
My goal is to attend a University/ College and major in Psychology and Sports Management. My aspirations at the University/ College level soccer program is to make significant contributions as an exceptional player while at the same time earn a 4-year College degree. The positions of preference on the field are generally “Defender Midfielder" or on the "Wing" which I am very versatile at both positions. I believe that my exceptional athletic ability to adapt to any University/ College style of play will enable me to be an asset to any University/ College soccer program. I believe with my sincere determination to succeed in life, exceptional ability in soccer and hard work ethics I can achieve my goals. Thanking you in advance for this opportunity.
