Christian Rivera '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Christian Rivera and I would like to introduce myself!  I am 17 years old and a Junior at Ralph R Mckee CTE High School at Staten Island, New York.  I play on the Varsity soccer for Mckee. I have been playing for the Varsity team since the 10th grade.  In 2018 I received the team "Coaches Choice" award. I have attended several soccer camps with college coaches during the summer. During the winter I train, play indoor soccer league, and play in a futsal league. Our club team plays in the EDP division and competes against the top level teams in the state and region

I am a very good student and take my education seriously. The major I wish to study is Computer Science with a concentration of video game development. However, I am also interested in minoring in other Computer Science concentrations like Cyber Security. While I am a good student, I enjoy giving back to the soccer community. I volunteered to help train a U-11 boys travel team. I learned a lot about working with the coaches, and the kids. I plan to train the kids again this spring. I have been a member of the National Honor Society for three years and participate in NHS community activities. 

I plan to consider colleges that are a good match for me academically. I am very passionate about soccer and would like to find a school that allows me to achieve both.
