My name is Lewis Gibbons, and I am an attacking midfielder from Westhampton Beach, New York. I am an extremely versatile player and can play both center-attacking midfielder and fullback. I currently play for Westhampton Beach High School and Southampton Town United. I wear numbers 9 and 11.
I take my academics extremely seriously, and I currently hold a 96 average, or a 4.0. I excel particularly in History and English. I am hoping to major in Business or Political science, and I hope to attend law school after I graduate.
As I previously stated, I am a very versatile player. My preferred position is attacking midfielder, but I am often employed as an outside midfielder or winger for travel, and I played fullback and center-back during my school season. My strengths on the field include my vision and strength. I see the field better than other players and I use my vision to pick out the perfect pass and advance the play forward. I take an active leadership role and I encourage my teammates to play with passion.
Soccer is a major part of my life. I prioritize physical and mental health, and soccer allows me to exercise and clear my mind. I was up to my school's Varsity team for playoffs as a freshman, but I was too small to make any real impact. I started lifting and I put on serious size. I was able to make much more of an impact during my sophomore season, and I cemented my place as a starter and a team leader in my junior season.
Through college athletics, I desire to play at a high level, compete every day, make a significant difference on and off the field, and earn a college degree. After earning a degree in business and passing the bar exam, I plan on pursuing a career in law.
