Personal Statement

January 2017  Wilson High School Coach's Comments (Jeff Hart):  "From a late call-up in 10th grade until his last game, DJ has been a major part of our team’s amazing defense for three seasons. With his speed, tenacity, and his ability to go into the offensive third with the ball, DJ has been a key component to our team strategy and has allowed the program’s continued success. Although quiet on the field, DJ was one of the most intense players I have ever coached and will be greatly missed next season."

I began playing soccer when I was 3 years old.  I have played striker, midfield, defense and Keeper.  My strongest asset is my speed.  As primarily a defensive player over the last few years, I have a strong cross which is on target to our front line.  I also play lacrosse.  I am looking to attend college for a Business degree, but would like to continue to play mens soccer along the way.

During the 2016 season I was honored to have received an All-Tournament award, during tournament play, and was selected as 2nd Team All-League for our class at the end of our regular season.  Participated in the Section VI "Exceptional Seniors" game on November 6th, 2016.  During the indoor and summer season, I play on a Division A league. In 2016 we won the U17 BWNYJSL title, defeating top seeded teams across WNY.

I attend the HVAC Niagara Orleans BOCES program where I have recently been awarded to the National Technician Honor Society.

  • Ended in 2-2 tie. Scored a goal. ‎Tim Kronenwetter‎ to Exceptional Seniors Game Game summary; Elma,NY- First half started slow for the red team. Dylan Guarino [Ken East] had 4 saves despite surrendering a corner kick goal from Noah Keem [Sweet Home] on an excellent service from Tyler Jones [Akron]. Tim Calkins [NWheatfield] goalie had no saves. 2nd half had some late life. David Cloy [Wilson] hit a deflected 29` shot that went by Mike Damato[Orchard Park] Not much Mike could do - late movement on the deflect. Justin Weiskerger [Hamburg] hit a decent length shot off a loose ball in the middle of the park. Kabura Elias [Burgard] scored with 7 left off a loose ball from a corner kick of Noah Keem. Randolph goalie Jarrett Lecceadone could not do much after committing to the first shot. Jarrett finished with 3 saves in his half including a great parry that I thought looped over him - great recovery. No goals in the OT period. Mike Damato finished with 2 saves.
