Samuel Holloman '20 Recruiting Profile

Since age 4, I have played soccer.  Usually the first to arrive and one of the last to leave, I am focused, loyal and love being part of a team.  I played goalie and excelled at the position for many years.  Once the coaches noticed my speed and agility, they pulled me out of the goal and put me on the field.  I have played full back, midfielder and forward, but seem to have settled in as an outside midfielder.

So far I have been very successful balancing my studies and extracurricular activities.  I was an active participant in our Beta Club and youth program at my church.  I maintained straight A's last year and will continue to focus on my education, working hard on a strong and impressive GPA.

It is my intent to pursue a degree in education and to play collegiate soccer.  Most soccer players would like to play professionally, I'm no different.  I will work hard to achieve all my dreams.  It doesn't matter how big or small.  Eventually, I would love teach kids and coach, at the grade school level or even up to high school.  I hope I can nurture the love of the game in kids, like it was done for me.  Some of the most amazing influences in my life, pointing me and guiding me in the right direction, have been my coaches.
