Kevin Fernandez '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Kevin Fernandez, and I’m a 2026 striker from Durham, North Carolina. I currently play for North Carolina football club, and excelsior classical academy. I wear #5 for north Carolina football club, while for excelsior I wear #7.

Academics are very important to me. I currently hold 3.45 (unweighted) gpa and a 3.90 (weighted) gpa. I excel in various subjects including math which I find good because I would like to potentially be an engineer.

In my teams I am a versatile, fast, and hardworking player that can be trusted to make space for other players, and Me, and finish plays. I play the striker but I can also play the outside midfield position

Football is very important to me. It has taught me to put 100% into the things I do, and that I don’t have to always do everything alone as I can rely on my team. Football has also been an escape sometimes as when i am in the pitch I just kind of forget everything and enjoy the game. Football has been a motivating factor in school for me because if I want to go further in this sport I need to have good grades to be in D1/D2/D3 schools, 

Through college athletics, I desire to play at a high level, compete every day, make a significant difference on and off the field, and earn a college degree. After earning a degree in engineering, I would like to pursue being a construction engineer
