Hello, my name is Owen Leonard and I am from Asheboro, North Carolina. I have been playing soccer since I was five years old. I fell in love with the game when I first stepped onto the pitch and dreamed of playing at the collegiate level one day.
In March of 2017 I started playing club soccer for Central Carolina Soccer Club (CCSC). In October of 2017 I was asked to try out for Premier UK (PUK), a supplemental soccer club in addition to regular club team. In 2019 CCSC changed names to Asheboro City Futbol Club (ACFC). Currently, I play club soccer for both teams.
In March of 2020 I made the Randleman Middle School soccer team as a 6th grader, but due to COVID the season was cancelled. I was a starter for the Randleman Middle school soccer team as a 7th grader in March of 2021. I won the Coaches Award for being a leader, having a tireless work ethic and the ability to adapt and play multiple positions on the pitch.
I play striker and attacking midfielder, but I can adapt to any position on the pitch. I have quick feet, great ball handling and passing skills. I am a smaller player, but I play big on the pitch and love winning the ball. I am a team player and leader on the pitch and I get along well with all my teammates. I am a coachable player as I respect my coaches and am always looking to learn and improve. A key aspect of my game is my speed. I am fast and can run down the wing cross the ball into the box. I run a 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds.
