I am currently a college junior attending Universität Bayreuth in Bayreuth, Germany through a study abroad arrangement between Ohio University and Uni Bayreuth. I will return to Ohio University in August 2023 and will graduate from OU and Uni Bayreuth in May of 2024. My undergraduate degree from Ohio will be the Bachelor in Sports Management, and I will earn the Bachelor of Sport, Business & Law from Bayreuth. I will have completed these two undergraduate degrees in three years of full-time study at age 19, and I plan on pursuing an MBA and potentially a second master's degree upon the completion of my undergraduate course of study. I graduated high school at age 16 with a 4.9 GPA, and I currently hold a 4.0 GPA in my undergraduate programs of study.
I played middle school soccer at Canton Country Day School in Canton, Ohio, and I played recreational (Northwest Jackson Soccer League) and club soccer (Canton Akron Premier - CAK) throughout my three years of high school. I also officiated for Northwest Jackson Soccer League and the Greater Akron Areas Soccer League, and I served as a volunteer assistant coach with NJSL during my junior and senior years of high school. I scored 42 goals in my last year with NJSL (age 16), and I led the league in scoring my last three years in the league. I had planned on playing high school soccer at Jackson High School (Massillon, Ohio), but I changed my plans in response to the interruptions to interscholastic competition during my last year of high school.
I played club soccer at Ohio University during my first and only year on-campus in Athens, Ohio, and I am presently playing for University Sportsclub Bayreuth is the first fully student run and organized soccer club in the Bayerischer Fussball Verband (the umbrella organization for 4,530 soccer clubs in Bavaria, Germany). It is the seventh division of the Germany soccer system, with the third division being professional soccer. The level of competition is generally equivalent to competitive high school soccer or Division 3/Division 1-2 NAIA soccer.
I spent a considerable amount of time in Port St. Joe, Florida training, practicing, and playing with the Port St. Joe high school soccer team in 2019 and 2020. PSJ is a perennial state title contender in 2a soccer in Florida (MaxPreps rank ~1,700). Jackson High School, by comparison, is currently ranked ~600.
At 6'5" and 185 lbs, center back is my most natural position, though I am presently playing midfield for my team in Germany due to a glut of defensive players on the team. I have a strong leg and foot, and I have a high soccer IQ and am an astute student of the game. I play physically, and I physically outmatch most players I have encountered.
I am interested in playing soccer as a graduate student athlete for a school within a two hour drive of Thomasville, Georgia. I am available to play beginning the fall of 2024, and I am available to begin training and practices in mid-May of that year upon my graduation from Ohio University.
