Anastasia Nikolaidis '21 Recruiting Profile

  Hello!  My name is Anastasia Nikolaidis and I’m a graduating senior @ Jackson High School in Massillon, Ohio.  Born and raised in Ohio, I am a 17-year old student-athlete desiring to play at the next level, while continuing my academic pursuits. I hold faith-values in high regard, pushing me to work hard with integrity. 

            Playing golf since age six, I fell in love with the game and started competitively at age 12. Blessed with God-given attributes, my 5’9” stature and ability to move the golf ball has shortened courses and given me a great advantage. As a two-time All Federal League and All Stark County First Team Player, as well as being a two-time state participant, I have aspirations to complete collegiately at the highest levels.

             Academically, I will be completing my high school requirements in 2021, as well as continuing CCP courses that I began this year. Homeschooled my entire life, I have developed the ability to self start and have achieved  academic excellence.

            Moving my family residence in 2019 created various challenges on the course, and although I struggled immensely, I have come out of these hurdles stronger both as a person and as a player and still was able to pull out several good scores. 

             I recently heard 5 traits I identify and pride myself in with respect to my approach to college golf. Here they are:

1.     Passion: I am a player who is passionate about my team and the game of golf.  

2.     Dreamer: I am a player who dreams big! I believe that the program I go to can be a top 50 program, and compete with the best in the country and I have the drive necessary to help us get there.  

3.     Independent: I am a player who will practice and play by themselves.I excel and can handle any and every situation and grow into a great leader.

4.     Growth mindset: I have a desire to get better by any means necessary and I am not afraid to be coached.  

5.     Accountable: I take ownership of the things I do and and do not make excuses or blame others.
