Hi, my name is Caleb Heintz and I would like to introduce myself. I am 6’1” and 180 lbs. I am 18 years old and a senior at Oak Harbor High School in rural Ohio. I played varsity soccer for the Oak Harbor Rockets, which plays in the Sandusky Bay Conference, Division 2, section XX. Our non-conference schedule included other larger and higher ranked teams. I have played high school soccer for four years and was named as co-captain my senior year. I started my freshman year playing JV. I became a starter for the varsity team my sophomore year and am a three season letter winner. This year I played primarily defensive center midfield, but stepped up and played goal keeper at the start of the season, after our starting goal keeper was injured. In the past I have played center back and both left/right midfield. I was given the Scholar Athlete Award both my junior and senior year.
I have been playing soccer since I was four years old, as I played my first soccer games at the YMCA. I also played fall and spring ball on a local recreational league throughout my elementary school years. In middle school, I played on the Toledo Futbol Academy’s travel league for two seasons. During the off season, I attend multiple soccer training sessions and play futsal. I also participate in a summer travel league, train throughout the winter and play on an indoor soccer league.
For the past two years, I have been the starting kicker for my high school football team. I also swim for my high school swim team, am a three year letterman and a two time state qualifier. Last year I earned an all Ohio award in swimming.
I am not just a strong athlete, but also a well-rounded student. I have been involved in choir, band, and Future Farmers of America (FFA). I help with the operations of my family farm which includes maintaining and fixing machinery. I am a very driven student-athlete who likes thrives on challenges.
