Sahil Bhardwaj '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was 6 years old. Ever since I kicked my first ball It was a life long dream to play at the collegiate level. I understand that getting a chance to play at the college level is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I would never turn down.

I am an excellent on-ball defender and I am known to challenge for every ball in the air. As a center back I see the whole field and communicate with my teammates so we have the best chance to succeed. I am a team leader as I try and lead by example to encourage the players around me. I am extremely coachable and I strive to be the hardest worker every time I step on the field.

Although I strive to be the hardest worker on the field, my work ethics continue to excel within the classroom where I have maintained a reasonable GPA. I also have many hours of volunteer experience under my belt where I was able to manage my time with school work, soccer, and giving back to the community, through work with senior and community care. 

I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom while also playing at the highest level for soccer in college. I am flexible about all my options and at the end of the day, I just want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I want to become a leader for my colleagues and peers on and off the pitch but at the same time make my parents proud.
