Ethan Raulino '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ethan Raulino. I’m a Canadian athlete. I am a grade 12 student at Corpus Christi Catholic High School, Burlington, Ontario, Canada graduating in June 2023. I am very keen and interested in attending a US College or University in 2024. 

For the 2023 Outdoor Season, I have signed with Scrosoppi FC for a second season to play on the U21 Reserve Team.

I am a hard-working, determined student with the passion and enthusiasm for soccer that started when I was 4 years old and has continued until today along with my eagerness to succeed and learn. 

I began my competitive soccer career playing for Milton Youth Soccer Club, a local community club in Milton, Ontario, Canada.  After a good development experience, I moved on to Prostars FC, playing with their 2005 team who were the #1 ranked team in Canada at that time.  Following the pandemic, I progressed to a greater challenge, signing with Milton Magic Boys 2004, the #1 ranked team in Canada in that age category.  Having a successful season of winning the Golden Horseshoe Regional League Championship and an Ontario Cup Provincial Championship title, I was signed to a  League 1 Ontario semi-professional club, Scrosoppi Football Club.  I was named U21 Reserve team Captain, and led the team to an undefeated season, culminating in the club’s first finals appearance.  Throughout this season, I was regularly called up to play with the Men’s Premier 1st team, and performed well at this level.  

I am a hard-working, technically-sound central midfielder who can play any midfield position. The strongest part of my game is my ability to defend as a midfielder, my passing range, my awareness of where my team is and to lead the team. I’m a versatile player and can execute defensive tackles, as well as moving the ball up the pitch to the final third.  My strengths include my competitiveness, my effectiveness in making the right play, my determination to win 1v1 duels, and my natural leadership characteristics.  I have a “get it done” attitude and am adaptable, and resilient in all environments. 

I love the game of golf too, and really enjoying playing the sport recreationally. 

While it is ultimately my goal to play professional soccer, I am 100% committed to obtaining a degree in either Sports Management, Athletic Therapy and/or Kinesiology.  I am hoping to leverage my soccer skills into achieving a superior education.
