Alex Kannow '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alex Kannow  I started playing soccer at the age of 5.  Since my first game I knew that I never wanted to stop. I played club soccer for Northeast United and Portland City United. I am currently attending La Salle Catholic College Preparatory High School. I was invited to play on the varsity team my freshmen and sophomore year where my game rose to a new level of competitive intensity. I currently hold the school record for most goals scored in one regular season at 18.  I battled through COVID, sustaining injuries throughout my junior and senior years, before returning to prime fitness and re-entering the scene. Most recently I have been playing for the club team FC Portland 03/04 Navy with coach Stewart Boniface. If it weren't for my deeply rooted love of the game and my endless dedication to my sport, I would not be here today, tirelessly chasing my dream of playing at the highest level of soccer that I am able to reach. I am 6"2 & 165lbs. My current positions are CDM, CAM, Forward and Left Wing.  Coaches, I will provide leadership and bring strength to your team. I will assist in maintaining composure, intensity, and drive on the pitch, as well as in training.  I am fully prepared to bring me dedication, hard work, talent and leadership to your team. While soccer is my passion, I am also a dedicated student with a Cumulative GPA of 3.58.
