Being a goalkeeper and the skill set of the position ever-changing from just needing to save the ball, to becoming the 11th player on the field with the use of my feet, I knew that I needed to adapt. This summer I worked primarily on my distribution and my positional awareness on the field to allow myself ample time to receive and distribute the ball properly and accurately.
Taking advantage of the pandemic, I began transforming my body physically and psychologically starting with an 8-week plyometric program. In addition, once the premier league restarted, I closely watched goalkeepers like Ederson, De Gea and Lloris in order to further develop my athletic ability and goalkeeping skills.
With my passion for the game, work-ethic, and coach-ability, I’m confident that my leadership and physical attributes will make me an asset to your academic institution and soccer program.
