Hi! My name is Dylan Roberts and I just completed my Junior year at Dallas High School located in Northeast Pennsylvania. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old and have continued to work hard, train and excel at every level. Jumping from recreational soccer to Club soccer at 8 years old, I played for Wyoming Valley Soccer Club and had the opportunity to play in many high level tournaments throughout the Northeast. I was also selected for ODP the 3 years I went out for it, competing in tournaments with my Pennsylvania team. Playing Club and ODP required long training days and a ton of travel time that I got to spend with my dad, who was always there at 5am with me to drive me and still there at 8pm cheering me on from the sidelines, sometimes in multiple states in one day. As I progressed to a competitive High School Team, I was a leader on the Junior Varsity Team my Freshman & Sophomore year (leading in both goals and assists both years), playing in District Finals my sophomore year and solidifying my starting spot as a Junior. As a junior, I scored 21 goals with 11 assists, ranking among the best in my division and making the All-Star First Team. After finishing my senior season only playing 7 games because of an injury, I managed to still net 6 goals and provide 2 assists, and earn my second spot as a 1st Team All-Star.
I am a hard worker both on and off the field, and when I'm not in school or at practice, I work part-time at a local restaurant and am also a counselor at a local children's theater. I enjoy working with kids (including my younger sister), and know that my anticipated future career will involve helping or teaching children. I am looking at Physical Therapy with a focus on pediatrics, which I have shadowed and enjoyed my time, or Elementary Education.
On the field, I am focused and competitive, always striving to be a leader and demonstrate that with my work ethic. I enjoy contributing to the success of the team and players. I feel at home as a striker or mid-fielder, however, I am versatile enough and have always been willing to move to where I am needed most.
I know I have what it takes to play at the next level, and I would like the opportunity to speak with you and learn more about your school and team, and how I can fit in, as I get ready to embark on my collegiate journey!
Dylan
