Winning the District III title, then making it all the way to the Pennsylvania State semi-finals as a freshman was the highlight of my high school career. However, it is what came after this that I feel I have developed the most as a student-athlete. I left my high school team to to play with in the Development Academy. I changed my position from a midfielder to a center-back. This change had helped me grow as a person, because I had to learn different skills. Skills related more closely to the center-back position. This experience has helped me re-focus my efforts on becoming a solid center-back playing at the college level.
I was fortunate enough to get the chance to tryout for such an amazing Development Academy program after my freshman year in high school. I learned over the my four years at the high school and Academy level the importance of sacrifice, teamwork, leadership and commitment. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the work-ethic, leadership skills, and character to make an impact on the program. As a freshman playing varsity soccer and a senior training with Bethlehem Steel, I know what it takes to be a leader on your team.
