I am very passionate about soccer and have always worked hard to become the best player I can be and to advance my team. I will continue my efforts in order to play for a solid college soccer program and earn a degree. I hope to help make a strong contribution to winning titles for whoever I play for. In fact, my varsity soccer team used to be a non-contender in district playoffs with a 6-9-1 record my freshman year as I started every game. Since then I have started every game as well and my Sophmore year we finished 9-6-2. Then, we finished 12-5 my Junior year as I was a captain. We contended in the district playoffs both years and lost. Although, with my Senior year approaching I am excited to attempt to win the district championship one last time and believe that we will. Growing up in this high school soccer program and not winning right away developed my hard work ethic and leadership on my team. It caused me to have to work harder than the rest to help develop a winning program. I watch soccer often and understand the tactics. I am willing to play any style the coaching staff wants. Also, I am willing to play many positions but typically I have played as a center midfielder or center back. I love to build up with possession and create many great opportunities and control the game. Academically I have been improving my GPA at school tremendously and seeing the hard work pay off on my transcript. By the end of my senior year, I strive to achieve a 3.8 GPA at least. Also, I hope to maintain as high a GPA as possible as I compete athletically in college as well. I am a Christian and always work to be the best man I can be. During the pandemic, I have started a new lifting and conditioning program from a professional soccer player in the USL named Matt Sheldon. In this period I have been working harder than ever before on all parts of my game including technical, tactical, and physical work. I have noticed great improvement and am excited to showcase my abilities. In my free time, I typically will read the Bible, play the guitar, spend time with family and friends. Also, I love to serve in my church and community. My favorite is participating in His Work His Way with my church in which we take a week in the summer and help people that are incapable of fixing or cleaning their homes. We go out in small groups to different homes and do these projects for them. To finish off, I hope to be a strong contributor to whatever college soccer program I play for and help win titles and most importantly enjoy my time playing soccer as long as I can for my God.
