Michael Duffy '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Michael Duffy, I am from North Smithfield, Rhode Island, I play outside midfield and occasionally defensive midfield. I am very easy to work and train with, as a player, a person, and a student. I aspire to play in the collegiate level and hopefully the Haitian National Team. I am a very enthusiastic person in and out of training, but take the training time seriously when need be. In school, I take 'AP European History' (which is the only AP course offered for Sophomores), and Honors Biology 10. Out of school, I enjoy studying languages, such as French, Swedish, and Spanish as linguistics interest me. I play for one of the most recognizable and best Soccer Programs in the country, Global Premier Soccer (GPS), Rhode Island, which just won Franchise of the year out of 22 other franchises in North America. I have been playing Soccer for 4 years and improve each time I set foot on the pitch. 

I am different from your others recruits because I started playing soccer fairly late, at 12 years of age. I have been told ever since I started playing that I would never be good enough. But with my hard working mentality I was on varsity after playing for three years. Don't let my short amount of years playing turn you away because, I can adapt well in any environment as that, my aggressiveness and chemistry with teammates are some of my best qualities.
