My collegiate goals include being able to play soccer for a college where I can also get a great education. I play for South Carolina United 05 Boys ECNL team. I am one of the team captains, and I play, and start, at the defending midfield or center back position. I have also played left wing, center back, attacking mid, and outside back during this season when my coach wants me there. I have played many different positions in the past and can play generally everywhere but the center back and defending midfield positions are where I thrive. I usually control the pace of the game when we have possession, win balls out of the air, and distribute the ball it to my teammates when space is available either long or short. I also take a leadership role on the team as I am the captain. I tell my teammates things to do differently as the game permits or praise them when they do something good. This year I am a senior at Chapin High School and am on track to be a four year letterman. I was appointed, as a junior, to be Co-Captain for the varsity team and will be captain again this spring. I started at the center mid and center defensive mid position throughout the season. I am also the Chapin High School Pep Club president and enjoy participating in Chapin High Student Government Executive board and the School Improvement Council at my school. I often speak in front of groups that include my principal, teachers, my classmates and community members because of my positions in these organizations. I hope to one day play division one college soccer at a school with great academics and plan to continue to serve my community through volunteering and student government.
