My name is Rowdy Fritz. I am currently the Team Captain and a Senior at Boerne High School where we just won the State Championship. Before Covid-19 I played strictly for the U-17 San Antonio FC Pro Academy but after the season was put on hold I opted to go back to High School.  One of the more frequent questions asked about my name is, are you a rowdy person? I suppose on the soccer field I am, but I take pride in being a humble in selfless player. My name along with my ability to play soccer stems from a culmination of `about me` stories.

My mother had me at a young age, to be exact she was my age when she found out she was pregnant. On totally opposite ends of the spectrum to where I'm preparing for college she was preparing for a baby. Through her own perseverance and self sacrifice; she worked, graduated high school, went to night school where she attained her cosmetology license, and took care of me. She had a ball at my feet since I could walk and was the best and worst 1v1 partner to play with. I can count on one hand how many soccer games she has missed. So to say the least, I am motivated to continue to make her proud of me.

With help from my grandmother, I grew up in a household with my teenage uncles and I think this is what truly developed my passion for the game. I was able to watch one of my uncles win a state championship and another make it to the state finals. We ad a team are currently ranked #1 for Texas 4A soccer programs and are currently on our journey to  fulfil my dreams.

I feel blessed on how my story is unfolding and I am excited as I enter this next chapter in my life. My story is a testament to my wonderful family and how their stories have helped to mold and shape mine.
