I have been engaged in soccer since the age of three, and I cannot recall a moment without a ball at my feet. At that young age, while I would like to believe I had a desire to play, it was ultimately my parents who made that choice for me. I never anticipated the profound influence the sport would have on my life. It has instilled in me values such as discipline, dedication, and hard work, but most significantly, it has pushed me beyond my comfort zone, allowing me to develop my personality. Although I am generally soft-spoken, the field has taught me essential skills in leadership, teamwork, and camaraderie. Soccer has also bolstered my confidence, which was a challenge for me in my earlier years. I feel incredibly privileged to have played alongside a talented group of peers throughout my years, who have significantly contributed to my development as a player. I owe much to my mentors, including my uncle who introduced me to the game, my father who consistently supported me, and several coaches who inspired me along the way. While my achievements are my own, they were made possible by their guidance. Being named All-Area Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 was a remarkable honor, but receiving the same accolade the following year provided me with a deeper understanding of my growth in the sport. I eagerly anticipate the continuation of my soccer journey in college, where I will strive for excellence, maintain my dedication, and be a supportive teammate.
