Soccer has been a huge part of my life, and I have played ever since I could walk. It has always interested me because of its high paced tempo, although I also love delving into the tactics. I started very young in England (when I was 3 years old), playing through different levels, culminating with a stint at the Peterborough United Academy for 3 years. This gave me a deep understanding for the game, its tactics, its physical demands, and essentially, how it is played. Playing for an academy opened up a whole new part of me, which was being part of a team, or as I saw it, a family. The early mornings, the late nights, the losses and the victories all built us up as a team, and the non-stop support from my parents has really influenced me and has encouraged confidence within me, so I am relaxed and composed on the pitch, because I believe in my own ability.
On arriving in Dallas - Texas in Sep 2018, I tried-out for my high school team and was accepted into the Varsity team.
I have been a starter since the beginning of the season. We are on track to make playoffs with a very good chance of becoming district champions for the first time in school history.
I also tried-out and was asked to join a FC Dallas Classic 02 team.
I am scheduled to go to another try-out with Solar FC, as to decide what the best option for club soccer would be for next season.
My final goals and aspirations are to be playing a good level and quality of soccer in College, and I believe that I am capable of attaining that. My consistent work ethic puts me apart from others, because no matter what the score is, who the opponent is or how my performance has been during the game, I will always work 100%. When I was very little, I had a terrible attitude, and I would stop trying if we were losing, but playing the game for so long and competing at high levels have made me realise that there is no benefit whatsoever to not trying, whether its benefits to you personally or also your team. I have rigorously worked on improving, and now I have a good attitude I am not afraid to take a leadership role on the field and I constantly attempt to motivate and uplift my teammates. Furthermore, I hold a 4.0 GPA and have gotten a 1290 in a PSAT with no prior preparation. I wholly follow the concept that if you work hard, all the results come with it.
