I play soccer because I love the game and I want to play at the highest level possible. I started at the YMCA at age 4, but my competitive career began at age 9 with the Houston Texans SC, where I remain to this date. I can play most positions, but I'm best at outside back and defensive mid. My key strengths include passing long and short, tackling, and making smart, quick decisions. I follow most professional teams and try to learn from their examples. My favorite team is Manchester United. As a center mid, I try to emulate the passing skills of Toni Kroos and the defensive ability of N'Golo Kante. As an outside back, I pay close attention to Antonio Valencia, Deandre Yedlin, and Phillip Lahm and the way that they are involved in the attacks as well as being solid defenders. As for academics, I have been a straight A student for my whole life, and I plan to keep it that way. I am in all upper level classes now, and I plan to take as many AP and Dual Credit classes as I can. I am still looking at different careers, but lately I have been looking into Sports Marketing/Management. I am involved in YoungLife, National Honor Society, and Key Club. Another hobby of mine is music. I have been a drummer since age 8, and my uncle is a drummer in a band. I've been connected to music my whole life, and as a drummer I admire Neil Peart from Rush. Going into high school, I tried out and was the first freshman in 6 years to make the drumline for the marching band, but I was unable to pursue that because there were too many conflicts with the band and soccer schedules. I chose to focus on soccer.
