Hard-working student (4.0 GPA) with proven leadership, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail developed in multiple AP classes/programs, all while balancing being a student-athlete. I desire to pursue accounting or real estate which will assist in my personal growth and professional development.
I dream to create a legacy of myself, whether it is through my career, or the experience from it that I will teach my children and have them pursue their dreams.
Growing up my father told me we, my siblings and I, are his dreams and our lives are what he will leave on this world. In saying so, he had us participate in various things, in particular, soccer. I have been playing soccer from a very young age and wish to continue so in college. It has helped me develop skills that I use in my daily life, such as critical thinking, socializing, and leading.
Being an older brother is a complicated role because of it's limitations. I am a role model to my siblings, so complaining about why I don't get the front seat is restricted. I have been more independent and guiding as an older brother since I've played soccer. While it can be frustrating at times, I have learned to be patient and understand situations.
Understanding and analyzing situations is another great aspect of soccer. I have trained myself to quickly pick up on things and being aware is vital in soccer and, surprisingly, everywhere else. Having this skill not only allows me to identify physical situations but mental as well.
Leading me to the social aspect of soccer. My teammates have always been appropriate to me and treated me with respect since I am their captain. However, there are times when a player isn't their self. I can pick up on this and change my play style to boost their morale. Not only am I their captain, but I am a person they can talk to in an academic space whenever they feel stuck.
These skills have given me the strength to continue on the field and pursue in college education. I want to play soccer and create something for myself. I want to leave a footprint on the world and make my parents proud.
