Since I was 3 years old, soccer has been my primary sport. Thanks to parents that coached the park rec teams and an older brother who played as well, I was always playing up an age level and learned early the value of using the left foot to navigate the field. In middle school, being taller and more athletic earned me a spot as a center back which I used to my advantage to learn the game and thus, started leading the team with calling the plays from the field. During my eighth-grade year, I was also asked to play on the varsity high school team.
So far in high school I have been a part of three different high school teams in three different states - Kentucky, Georgia, and Texas. As a junior, I was given the choice between leading the JV team as their captain/starter or being in rotation for varsity. I chose to be the captain of the JV team, so I can continue to develop my leadership skills both on and off the field as well as fine tune my footwork. Now as a senior, I am on the varsity team where I am motivated to be better every day, help my teammates achieve their goals, and support a successful program.
Academically, I am working on my business endorsement and earned straight A's my entire Junior year. In college, I want to pursue a degree in the engineering while being a valuable team member to a competitive soccer program. I hope to find the right college that will help me achieve my career and soccer goals.
