Anthony Bernal '17 Recruiting Profile

I am an 18 year old senior at Mckinney High school in Mckinney, Texas and am maintaing a 4.0 GPA with a 1050 SAT score. I have been playing soccer since i was 2 years old and have never stopped.  I have had the privilege of being a 4 year varsity player and have played on 3 different high school teams in 3 different locations. I also had the honor to participate in the All-Star game and being selected for the All-Alliance team of puerto rico 2 years in a row . I was chosen as captain of my team for both my sophomore and Junior year. last year my team went to the semi finals and lost 3-2 however,no boys varsity team for my school had ever won a play off game until last year. I have always been a leader for all my teams, regardless if i was a captain or not because i believe a captains badge does not determine a leader.  Even though i am extremely dedicated to soccer I also give a 100% on and off the field in anything that i d. I take each loss as a practice because it makes me realize what it is i need to work on and make sure i do not make the same mistakes again. What makes me different from other athletes is I work for the person standing next to me because if the whole team does this then you wont have to worry about yourself.
