Leave it all on the field or don’t participate at all! That has been my focus the past 3 years while playing soccer and running cross country. I have spent the last three summers running hills, tracks and taking long jogs to get myself conditioned and prepared for high school sports and club soccer. The greatest challenge was when I was a Freshman and Sophomore and was expected to run 5-7 miles before 1st period, participate in my soccer period at the end of the day then club soccer practice later in the evening. This required great amounts of time management, preparation and sacrifice on my part. I am very proud to say that I was able to keep my GPA up, advance my cross-country team to regionals two years in a row and earn myself a starter position on my varsity soccer team my sophomore and junior year. As a junior, I decided to focus primarily on soccer while having enough time to devote to AP classes. Where ever life takes me, this experience will follow me and will serve as a reminder of what can be accomplished with perseverance and hard work. I am very excited about the possibility of continuing my soccer career after I graduate. I am looking for a college that is a good fit for me academically with a soccer program where my athletic ability and work-ethic could make a positive impact.
