Hi, my name is Nico Staub. I have been playing competitive soccer since I was 5 years old. It has always been a big part of my life and my passion since stepping the first time on the pitch. I grew up in Switzerland and moved to Texas in summer 2018. Throughout 12 years of playing soccer I played 10 years competitive European Soccer for a Club (FC Härkingen). During all those years, I played every position (except goalkeeper) and gained a lot of experiences. This gives me the ability to play wherever I am needed the most on the field and know what to do.
I am a determined and goal oriented player which makes me very coachable. I'm always willing and trying to improve myself, getting better, and learn from the mistakes I made. I work hard to reach my goals and I'm not afraid of criticism as I use it for motivation and take it as a note for improvement. I always put my biggest effort in the game and try to give my best for the team.
Being a good student athlete means for me to work hard on the field as well as in the class room. I am trilingual and speak swiss german, german, and english. I graduated back in Switzerland in July 2018 at the age of 15 and I am now a Junior with a 4.0 GPA overall.
