My name is Jas Zendik. I am a senior three-sport athlete: I play soccer (goalkeeper), basketball, and baseball at Craftsbury Academy, the oldest and smallest public high school in Vermont. There are 14 kids in my senior class. After my sophomore year, I wanted to go to a school where I could play on teams with athletes that were as passionate about soccer as I am. I transferred to U-32 High School, a Division 2 school 45 minutes away. COVID forced my school to be open part-time. Even with these unforeseen difficulties, I worked my way to be the starting keeper. I realized that I could play at any level I desired.
I transferred back to Craftsbury Academy for my senior year, where I was named captain of the soccer team. I worked hard to set the tone and work ethic for my team. I have been told by opposing coaches that I am the best goalie they have seen. When the season ended, I made the All-State team.
Now, I’m looking to take the next step and play in college.
