My name is Drew Axel and I am hoping to take my soccer to the next level. Being able to represent a college program has been a dream of mine ever since I started club soccer, and I have been striving to achieve this goal. I play on the BU19 Three Rivers Soccer Club competing in the Washington State RCL Division 1 League. I have also had the opportunity to play for Eastern Washington EPD (Elite Player Development) , where we travel to Arizona to play in the Region IV ODP Championships. My club team won the BU15 Washington State Championship, went undefeated in pool play at Far West Regionals (Region IV), and placed 6th at Far West Regionals. In my most recent club season, we competed in the State Championships, taking 3rd Place. I am looking forward to my final season with my team.
I worked hard to develop myself into a solid defender. I began as a center back, but more recently have been getting more opportunities to play on the outside where I can get up the wing to quickly transition after we win the ball. I look to break lines where we can in order to put opponents on their heels. What separates me from others is that I can adapt to whatever tactics are required to meet our needs as a team. I strive to be a team leader by competing hard in training and making others around me better for it.
