Alexis Garcia '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Alexis Garcia. I am a Mexican American living in Washington, United States. I am eager to play at the college level because I know that I have the skill and the mindset to play professionally. I have been influenced by my parents to do more than the necessary at times whether it's in the classroom trying to prove my intelligence or out on the field trying to prove my skills. I have been playing soccer since I have been able to, my parents entered me into the sport when I was around 3 years old. It has always been the sport where I have received a lot of support from my family with my parents going to every game cheering me on. I would like to continue my career in soccer as I have been playing my whole life. I will always enjoy what I'm doing out on the field when playing the sport I have always had a passion for. I can be a great asset for a college team as I have been trained and know how to play Striker, Midfielder and Defender anywhere on the field. I push myself to new limits because I now I can always do better, for example I timed myself on a mile run to see what I would get if I tried, I got a 6:55 on April 18th 2020, I knew I could do better and I dedicated myself to getting a faster time the goal of 5:50. After many miles of running and training and pushing myself on the day of May 10th 2020 I ran a mile time of 5:47. This is an example to show off that once I am dedicated to a goal I will reach it through hard work. When I am not working out or trying to improve athletically I am working on my home ranch feeding goats, chickens, and our horse and also helping with our plantation of vegetables. I like to have fun in anything I do. I moved from Anaheim, California to Tonasket, Washington at the age of 8 years old it was a tough change leaving my friends and family but I overcame the upsetting move and am now a happy athlete attending Tonasket High School class of 2021.
