I have been playing soccer since I was three years old. I have loved everything about the sport, the teamwork, the competitiveness and the personal challenge. I am the youngest of three in my family and the youngest cousin of fourteen. My siblings played soccer and most of my cousins have played. Three of my cousins played collegiately. Our family gatherings often end up on the soccer field. Being the youngest, I felt the need to work hard to keep up with everyone and prove myself. Soccer has shown me what hard work can do and what a difference hard work can make. I know when I put in the effort in training both on the field and in working out, I see results in my play and my teammates' performance. I set a goal and was the lead scorer in my high school conference Junior year and named Offensive Player of the Year. The discipline I foster on the field is something I apply to school and life in general. I love the feeling I get from playing well and love working with my teammates to achieve a common goal. I know I will be a strong addition to a collegiate team and would love to play at a school that has high academic standards.
