Throughout my years of athletics, my competitive nature has driven me to become one of the top athletes and students in my area. Since I was 4 I have felt the drive of competition and maintained aspirations to play at the highest level attainable to me. From humble beginnings playing for a YMCA youth soccer team from the time I was 4 to competing at the MLS Next level, USYS National League Midwest Conference level and representing the state of Wisconsin in ODP tournaments, I have propelled myself with both drive but also sheer love of the game. Soccer has always been an opportunity for me to express myself and develop my skills as a leader and a teammate. Having been voted captain of my team for 3 years by my teammates, I know what it takes to lead a team to success. In 2021, I led my team as both a starter and a captain to an undefeated season which earned us promotion into Midwest Conference. 

On the field, my greatest qualities include my ability to stay calm and resist pressure, no matter the situation, as well as working as hard as I can to succeed: my coaches have told me that 50/50 balls are usually closer to 80/20 in my favor when I am involved in the play. I have worked hard to develop both of my feet, and regularly make important plays with my right and left. I pride myself in being effective in as many scenarios as possible; I’ve scored with toe pokes inside the six yard box, chips inside the box, and long range shots, and I frequently lead my team in assists. I regularly play the 6, 8, and 10. I have experience as a target 9, can play the 7 and 11, and the 4 and the 5 if needed. 

Academically, I consistently demonstrate a will to succeed: I have received numerous awards for my academic performance, including the Presidential Award for Academics, awarded by the principal, Student’s Choice Award, and achieving Honor Roll in every single quarter throughout my high school career. I’ve also had success in various athletic competitions, which can be viewed in my profile. I strive for scholarly greatness and push myself in all aspects of academics which are presented to me. As a freshman, I enrolled in every single Honors and AP class available to me.  As a sophomore I have a weighted GPA of 4.25, 3rd in my class of 398 students. Despite my achievements and success, I continue to endeavor for more. I will seek more opportunities to better myself in the future, including attending top-level camps, pursuing extra coaching, and excel in scholastic opportunities presented to me. I look forward to making connections with coaches and improving on my game both as a player and as a leader.
