Alexander Gruber '25 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing soccer since I was about 8 years old and it has always been a happy place for me. I have always strived to play at the highest possible level. Whether that be playing in a U18 league at the age of 13-14 or being the youngest person on the team and being the starting Goalie. Soccer has helped me grow as a person on and off the field. I have made many bonds with people through playing soccer that will never be lost. Soccer has pushed me to fight for what I want. It drives me towards achieving my goals. At points in my soccer career I would see people do thing that I couldn't at the time and I would work to be able to do those things as well. Playing at the Goalie position has taught me many things through the years. Some being, when you see everything happen you have to be the one to step up and be a leader and when people are down on themselves someone else has to be the one to pick them back up. I always strive to be the teammate that is confident in the team and keeps them positive even in rough times.
