My name is, Juan Calzada. I am a senior at St. Ambrose Academy in Madison, Wisconsin. One of the most important things and skills that I have learned and always have expressed is having a good relationship with the underclass men and making sure they don't feel left out, wether that is in school or in sports. I always talk to everyone and as a captain of my high school soccer team, I always makes sure everyone gets along. I feel like that is what makes me a good candidate for your team, because other than the skill and help I could bring and want to bring to a team, I also like to make people laugh and smile, but when it is time to focus, as a captain I make sure everyone else is focused. I am a goofball, I like to joke around and be funny, but when it is time to work it is time to work. What makes me different from other recruits is that I don't do club, I didn't fully understand how important it was to do club until my junior season, but by then it felt like I was too late, but I know I have the skill and talent to play college soccer without experience in playing club. I also am comfortable in any position on the field. My junior year I mostly played anywhere up top and got 23 goals and 8 assists breaking the schools season goal and assist records. This year, my senior year I played more wing back, and center back, but I also played striker, and I just ended the season with 18 goals and 2 assists. I don't play for a big name school. My school is D4, we don't get any recognition, but I know I have what it takes to make an impact on a team.
Thank you!
