Hello, my name is Kaydan Addie. I am currently a Junior at Platteville High School. Platteville is in the Southwest corner of Wisconsin with few local opportunities to play soccer in a challenging environment. I like to challenge myself in academics by taking AP as well as other challenging courses. Throughout my high school career, I have maintained a minimum of a 3.85 GPA that has led me to being admitted into Platteville High School's National Honor Society. My goal is to attend a school that has an excellent academic and athletic program.
The main position I play is center midfield (8/10), I also see playing time as striker (9), outside midfield (7/11), center defensive mid (6), and occasionally center back (4/5) . I do have experience playing in every single position besides goalkeeper due to my well rounded skill set, speed, and positioning. Many coaches I have played under referred to me as a "utility player".
Two years ago, I traveled to Madison, Wisconsin in order to play on Madison FC which is an MRL level club team. This was an amazing experience for me that helped me grow as a person as well as a player. Playing with them inspired me to create an extremely successful soccer career for myself that caused me to play with much higher competition after I transferred to the Rockford Raptors 03 ECNL team where I play under Frank Mateus.
This past summer, I played for Union Dubuque. Union Dubuque is a semi-professional level club playing in the UPSL. At tryouts, I was simply looked at as someone too young and inexperienced to play in the UPSL. Despite my age, the coach saw the fire inside of me and gave me the opportunity to train with the club at the beginning of the season. I eventually proved myself to be as capable as everyone else on the field and began playing on average, 35 minutes per game in the middle of the season. With about six games left, I proved myself good enough to earn a starting spot as a right wing which I kept through the remaining portion of the season.
I am a very coachable individual that exhibits a positive and motivational attitude towards my team. My game consists of 110% effort at all times and my ability to demonstrate leadership upon my team. I treat all of my teammates and opponents with a great deal of respect.
Thank you for viewing my profile!! - Kaydan Addie
