Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Kaydan Addie. I am currently a Junior at Platteville High School. Platteville is in the Southwest corner of Wisconsin with few local opportunities to play soccer in a challenging environment. I like to challenge myself in academics by taking AP as well as other challenging courses. Throughout my high school career, I have maintained a minimum of a 3.85 GPA that has led me to being admitted into Platteville High School's National Honor Society. My goal is to attend a school that has an excellent academic and athletic program.

The main position I play is center midfield (8/10), I also see playing time as striker (9), outside midfield (7/11), center defensive mid (6), and occasionally center back (4/5) . I do have experience playing in every single position besides goalkeeper due to my well rounded skill set, speed, and positioning. Many coaches I have played under referred to me as a "utility player".

Two years ago, I traveled to Madison, Wisconsin in order to play on Madison FC which is an MRL level club team. This was an amazing experience for me that helped me grow as a person as well as a player. Playing with them inspired me to create an extremely successful soccer career for myself that caused me to play with much higher competition after I transferred to the Rockford Raptors 03 ECNL team where I play under Frank Mateus.

This past summer, I played for Union Dubuque. Union Dubuque is a semi-professional level club playing in the UPSL. At tryouts, I was simply looked at as someone too young and inexperienced to play in the UPSL. Despite my age, the coach saw the fire inside of me and gave me the opportunity to train with the club at the beginning of the season. I eventually proved myself to be as capable as everyone else on the field and began playing on average, 35 minutes per game in the middle of the season. With about six games left, I proved myself good enough to earn a starting spot as a right wing which I kept through the remaining portion of the season.

I am a very coachable individual that exhibits a positive and motivational attitude towards my team. My game consists of 110% effort at all times and my ability to demonstrate leadership upon my team. I treat all of my teammates and opponents with a great deal of respect.

Thank you for viewing my profile!! - Kaydan Addie

Club Information

  • Seasons of Club Experience
  • 4 seasons
  • 2020 Rockford Raptors (ECNL)
  • 2019 Madison FC Gold (WI) (MRL)
  • This season was a huge step up from playing in state premier. The level of competition myself and the team faced was much higher than the previous year. My role was much bigger than playing on the wing. During the season, I played every single position on the field excluding goalie. Being put into all the different positions really opened up my game and helped turn me into a more versatile player.
  • 2019 Union Dubuque FC (UPSL)
  • Union Dubuque FC is a second year semi-professional club competing in the UPSL (United Premier Soccer League). The club is mainly composed of current college players ranging from D1 starters to the advanced players playing D3 and NAIA as well as former college players continuing their playing career after a successful college career. I began the season seeing few minutes the first few games, to becoming a prominent substitute as a wing, and progressing to earn a starting spot on the wing. This season opened me up to the faster pace and insanely mental side in the higher level of play and progressed me as a player to compete at that level.
  • 2018 Madison FC Gold (State Premier)
  • This was my first season playing for a state league team. I started every game and played as a winger but also as a cdm and center back as needed. I had a great deal of assists as well as bagging myself some goals. As a team, we had a remarkable season and got promoted all the way to the 3rd division of MRL.
