Jake Engebritson ...Personal Statement
My college goals and aspirations are to play college soccer and maintain high academic standards. I compete at an elite level and will give my team, my coach and my position all I have to offer. I am very willing to learn and am very coachable. I played the Striker/9 position this summer 2021 on the Eau Claire United High School Showcase Team. I have learned the Liverpool Press and have a high soccer IQ. I play a very physical game and use my physicality to control the position. I have quick skill moves in tight spaces to create separation from defenders. My dominant left foot offers opportunistic crosses into the box and a striking cross body shot. Due to COVID, my video clips as a Junior have been limited but I have put together the video below highlighting some of my best plays from the last year. My drive for excellence will allow me to be successful in both the academic and athletic aspects of my college career.
