Jackson Cook '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I’m Jackson! I have played soccer for six years, starting at age 10. My first time kicking a soccer ball was at Sting tryouts, our local club, and at the time I tried out for goalkeeper. Ever since that day, I’ve played keeper and have committed to getting better and developing my skills. 

A dream of mine has always been to play college soccer at a D1, D2 school and at a higher level. Being from Wyoming, I don’t really get the opportunity to demonstrate  that I have the ability to play at the most competitive levels. I have begun to play for Wyoming 307 Select and Wyoming ODP so that I’m able to get experience at a higher level,  as well as competing against the most skilled athletes and teams from around the region, such as New Mexico, North Carolina, and Oregon. I have attended the West Region ODP camp once, last time in the summer of 2019, and I was invited to once again attend it this summer in Aurora, Colorado.

I am very excited to express my style of play and creativity in soccer, as well as the opportunity to showcase my skills and work ethic, with the goal of playing at the collegiate level. My style of play is very aggressive and fast paced, loving to diribute with my feet and hands, using a side volley, punt, and throw.
