To me, swimming is more than just a sport to keep you in shape or to pass the time away; it is my passion. I love the competitiveness of the sport, and will work hard every day to achieve my goals while always being a team player. Having the opportunity to swim at the college level would truly be a blessing. To be able to get insight from professional coaches at such a high level would benefit my swimming experience and help me to improve to be the best swimmer I can be. I have developed strong friendships through swimming, and I hope to make many more in the future. I am determined athletically and academically, and always try my hardest to represent my school and my team.
Academically, I have always maintained a GPA above 4.0, ranking second in my class of 370 the last two years of high school. Mathematics is my strong-suit, and I hope to further my understanding of the subject in college and eventually pursue a career in the FBI. Athletically, I have swam on the Varsity Team for every high school swim season, and have qualified for CIF Central Section for my state. I also placed top ten for the 50 freestyle and top five for the 100 freestyle at the 2020 Short Course Yards Junior Olympics for California. In 2021, I placed 8th overall in the 50 freestyle and 7th overall in the 500 freestyle for CIF D2 Central Section. I will work hard to the best of my abilities while always remembering to stay humble and respectful, knowing there is always room for improvement.
