I am a good candidate for the team because when I see a weakness in myself, I work hard on making myself stronger mentally and physically so that I can make myself and my family proud. During times of hardships, the team works together to get everyone motivated and work towards their goal.
For the past year after the State championships, a couple of team mates of mine have been going to the gym to gain muscle and train the muscle groups that our stroke uses. I help other athletes who want to go the gym by teaching them how to use the equipment and recommended them with workouts to help them with their strokes.
My end goal isn't just to be fast, it's to make people happier by bringing them together to compete with other people who love the sport.
