I have been swimming competitively almost as long as I can remember. I started when I was 5 and it has become a vital part of my life. I have had a very unique journey in that I have lived in 5 states, had 12 homes (and a couple hotel stays in between), attended 8 schools and swam on 6 swim teams. While this was disruptive at times, certainly to my swim progress, I believe it has made me a stronger person. In life I have learned to adapt, make friends, be content, find adventure in the journey and continue to prevail, even when it is hard. In swimming, I have experienced a broad range of coaching, opportunity, challenges and adjustment. I may not be where I could have been, had we not had so much transition, but I am exactly where I am supposed to be and I am equipped to meet the challenges ahead. I am enjoying my high school and especially enjoy swimming on the varsity team. I am very optimistic about what is ahead.
